William Ferguson Joins Brian Graham Racing To Run In The Toyo Tires F1600 Championship

2021 was a great year for Ferguson Motorsports. Driver William Ferguson ended the season by winning the Formula Pro USA - F4 Western Championship for sponsor VMB Driver Development and team World Speed Motorsports, and along with a few podium finishes in Senior Rok Shifter and SKUSA Pro Shifter for West Coast Motorsports, we have high hopes for 2022!

After months of conversations with multiple teams and pivoting from F3 to the F1600 to keep racing in our budget, we are excited to announce that William Ferguson will be driving for Brian Graham Racing in the Toyo Tires F1600 Championship, starting with the official Spring Fling test weekend on the 29th and 30th of April at Shannonville Motorsports Park!

Back in February, we started the conversation with Doug Learned Junior, manufacture of Piper Race cars, and owner of Fast Forward Racing Components, about racing F1600 and what it would take to compete in the SCCA Runoffs. After a few weeks of consideration we came to the conclusion that it wasn't really what we were looking for. At around the same time Brian Graham Motorsports published an article talking about how they were looking for new drivers and would be using the Piper chassis for the F1600 Series. Doug Learned introduced us to Brian Graham and we had multiple conversations with Brian about how we could make racing the Piper F1600 in 2022 possible, and here we are now getting ready to test!

Thanks to Telo Stewart, President of World Speed Motorsports, for his continued guidance during our search for a ride in 2022. Also, thank you to both Doug and Doug Jr. at Piper Race Cars for all of their support and guidance. Finally, a huge thank you to Michael Ting for all the support. We would not be here without support from you all.

Thank you to the VMB Driver Development for a fantastic 2021!
